Episode 30: Caryn Mirriam-Goldberg

Writer, novelist, memoirist and poet Caryn Mirriam-Goldberg joins Jeff Browne to talk about sports writing — specifically how sports memoir and sports profiles can be enlivened by looking to poetic and literary devices to make your work sing on the screen or page. Mirriam-Goldberg is the former poet laureate for the state of Kansas, serving from 2009-2013, the same time that Browne was on the journalism faculty at the University of Kansas.
