Episode 24: Trevor Ivan on good journalism (no matter the medium)

In this episode, Sylvia Clubb chats with Youngstown State University journalism instructor Trevor Ivan, who has served as contest director for the National Scholastic Press Association and has taught in the Kent State University master's program for prospective journalism advisers. Most importantly for us, Trevor has critiqued and judged contests for Quill and Scroll. While his advice is universal, he also addresses the specifics of entering the video categories in the 2021 Writing, Photo and Multimedia Contest. The contest is open and accepting entries in 34 categories through Feb. 5, 2021.
